 | Alien Raises Money to send Gift Packages to Soldiers in Iraq |
Alien Paintball ran a raffle at this past weekend's Commanders Cup event - proceeds to be used to send gift packages to US servicemen in Iraq. The prize - a brand new Premier Independence.
Alien sold $550 worth in tickets at the event, with the winner walking a way with the Mayday Barrel kit with his Independence to be shipped to him when they become available.
Jack Rice of Alien Paintball says "The Winner wasn't present but his Mom was there, [and when she] called him he ran all the way from the Center field. It was very nice because he was so happy and excited. Joseph from Augora Hills California. I kept telling everyone that it was a good deal to buy a ticket because until about noon we had only sold about $300 worth, but we got a nice announcement at center field and sold some more tickets at lunch. "
Jack goes on to say "For those who don' believe in Karma, Joseph's Mom was the only one who said she wold give an extra donation if she won. Within minutes of winning she donated the promised $100, I had forgotten she had said she would do it"!
When asked about how the money would be used Jack added "My wife works for the Justice department, there is a group there that has done this since the troops went to Iraq. The big problem isn't donations it's money to ship packages - that's why the raffle."
